Charlotte and I are very excited to be participating in HorizonWALKS again this year, an annual walkathon event that raises awareness and funds for Horizon Day Camp - Metro DC, the area's first full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, offered completely free of charge.
Our goal is to raise $300 to help Horizon provide a fun, joyous, and safe day camp experience for children they serve. It costs approximately $5,000 to fund each child with summer camp and year-round family engagement activities. Any amount you can contribute I would greatly appreciate and every dollar will help provide smiles, laughter, and a sense of normalcy to those who need to most.
