I am proud to share I was selected to join the first ever TEEN BOARD of Aurora Day Camp. Georgia’s only full summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, ages 3 ½ – 16, all completely free of charge. I am honored to join my incredible mother, Beth’s legacy, and leadership. Many know and are inspired by my mother: her 7 years of working tirelessly to raise funds, engage volunteers and grow partnerships for Aurora Day Camp and other community causes.
Together we formed our fundraising team - Team Friedman Fighters for the 6th AuroraWALKS on Saturday, April 13th benefitting Aurora. The Walk goal is $225,000. Aurora also provides year-round in-hospital programs and fun days for camper patients and families, in addition to this magical camp. I have volunteered and seen the smiles and the laughter of campers. This is Aurora’s 7th summer camp for over 220 campers ages 3 ½ to 16, many of whom travel to camp in their free buses from 22 counties across Greater Atlanta. 57% of the campers are under age 10, and 38% are younger than 7. All will enjoy a 6-week summer day camp.
My personal goal is $6000 and our team goal is $12,000. We will send 2 children to camp as it costs $6000 for one child to attend camp. Every dollar donated stays here in Georgia and there are no other programs like these in Atlanta. Will you help me reach my goals? You can donate to my goal at the buttons above.
AuroraWALKS will take place on Saturday, April 13th at the Concourse Office Park. Check-In and fun family activities at 8:30 AM. Walk starts at 10:30 AM with free parking and easy access. Please come join our family and our fun team at the Walk! Watch your powerful video below.
