ABOUT US
Launched in 2017, Aurora Day Camp is Georgia's ONLY full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, aged 3 1/2 to 16, offered free of charge. Our sixth summer in 2023 had our largest enrollment ever with 200 campers. There are no other programs like this in Georgia and every dollar donated stays in Georgia.
Your support will ensure we reach our $225,000 goal!
Our campers are very young; 58% are under age 10 and 38% are younger than eight years old. We provide free transportation from 20 Metro Atlanta counties and extended care hours to support working families. Your sponsorship will make our seventh summer of camp possible.
At Aurora, it’s not about cancer – it is about the magic of being a child.
In addition to summer camp, we also provide year-round and in-hospital programs. These include Aurora on Wheels and Aurora Anytime Bags which provide hours of camp-like fun to children undergoing treatment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
The mission of Aurora Day Camp is to bring joy to children with cancer and their siblings in Greater Atlanta. Last year, we served more than 2,000+ children.
