Kymani and I have formed our fundraising Team Yazzy, for AuroraWALKS on Saturday, April 13th benefitting Aurora Day Camp. Georgia’s only full summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, ages 3 1⁄2 – 16. Aurora provides a magical summer camp and year-round and in-hospital programs, all completely free of charge.
Yazzy was diagnosed with a high-risk neuroblastoma in 2021 and for the last two years has endured numerous toxic treatments and many hospital stays in her fight against a tough cancer. Yazzy and her sister Luna both attended Aurora Day Camp for the last two summers and we have seen the impact of this unique mission. There are no other programs like these in Atlanta and every dollar donated stays here in Georgia.
Aurora’s powerful mission inspired me to do more and I recently joined the Aurora Leadership Board. Our family are featured in the video below and we are excited to raise funds and awareness with our first Walk team!

It costs $6,000 to send one child to camp for the entire summer. Your support and friendship will help us reach our $225,000 Walk goal, to provide and expand these powerful, life-changing programs for families fighting childhood cancer. AuroraWALKS will take place on Saturday, April 13th at the Concourse Office Park. Check-In and fun family activities at 8:30 AM, Walk starts at 10:30 AM, free parking, easy access. I am inviting all my friends and family to join OUR FUN TEAM at the Walk!
