Greetings all! Welcome to the team page for Sunrise Day Camp - Greater Philadelphia! This summer is SDCGP's third year in session. Since 2022, our camp has doubled in size each summer. Each and every staff member has the same goal in mind each year: to bring the most amazing summer possible to our campers as they face challenges that no child should ever have to go through. Sunrise Day Camp is a life-changing experience for our campers, and even changes the lives of our staff members.
Why SunriseWALKS? Sunrise Day Camp is the world's first full summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, offered completely free of charge. Sunrise Day Camp, along with the Sunrise Association's Year-Round Programming and In-Hospital Recreational Activities, brings back the simple joys of childhood to hundreds of children impacted by pediatric cancer.
This team is hosted by Sunrise Day Camp - Greater Philadelphia staff members, though anyone is able to join! We encourage you to donate, spread the word, and help us in reaching our fundraising goal. This year is the first SunriseWalks event for the Greater Philadelphia area.
Our goal is to reach $10,000 for the children of Sunrise Greater Philly for this summer! All funds raised will go towards ensuring our campers have the absolute best summer of their lives.
