About Sunrise
Sunrise Day Camp brings the simple pleasures of childhood back to children struggling with cancer, changing months of loneliness and isolation into summers filled with sunshine, laughter and happiness. And because Sunrise is a day camp, it does all this while allowing the children to continue their medical treatment and enjoy the comfort and safety of their own homes at night. Unlike most oncology sleep-away camps that are offered for 1-2 weeks each summer, Sunrise Day Camp allows children to attend camp as often as they like.

Our full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, ages 3 1/2-16, is provided completely free of charge.

SHARE your participation with family and friends and ask them to join you.
FUNDRAISE AND SPREAD AWARENESS to support our Sunrise children.
WALK WITH US on October 15 to celebrate our upcoming 2nd summer of Sunrise Day Camp Chicago!

WALK DAY DETAILS:

SunriseWALKS Chicago will happen rain or shine, so please:
dress for the weather
wear comfortable and waterproof shoes
 
The 1-mile route goes along a nature trail with uneven terrain and the 0.25-mile route is paved.
 
Parking
Available onsite at Lake County JCC.
The parking lot will be CLOSED, with no access, from 10am - 10:30am
 
8:30am – 9:30am: Check-In
Located at the tent by the pool
You’ll receive your SunriseWALKS Chicago hat and Sunrise swag upon check-in!
Pancake breakfast available
Enjoy arts & crafts and entertainment from Stevenson High School Cheer Team, Lake Zurich School Blue Notes Show Choir and Bare Voices Acapella Choir

9:30am – 10am: Opening Program
Located at the basketball court just east of the Check-in area
 
10am: Walk Begins!

11am-12:30pm: Post-Walk Carnival
 DJ, bouncy house, bingo and more!
