Our family is participating again in the upcoming 2019 SunriseWALKS on June 2nd. This cause is very important to us. Our Aunt Amy, our dad's sister lost her life to cancer 25 years ago at the age of 38. This will be the 2nd year we are walking as a family to honor her memory and continue to help in the fight against Cancer.
Every year, thousands of children are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. alone and must deal with incredible challenges. Sunrise Day Camp is an organization entirely dedicated to bringing joy back to their lives.
Please support our SunriseWalk Team "Team Bodes" in our upcoming walk, as we will be raising money to help send children with cancer and their siblings to Sunrise Day Camp, free of charge.
Sunrise is the only full summer day camp that allows children with cancer and their siblings to enjoy days filled with sports, games and activities in a safe and fun environment - where the focus changes from hospital beds and needles to swimming pools, games and new friendships.
The expense to send one child to Sunrise Camp is $6,000. Our goal is to raise $6,000 to be able to send one child with cancer to camp free of charge, and hopefully more.
