I am participating in the SightMD Steps for Sunrise Challenge to help raise awareness and critical funds for the Sunrise Association, whose mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings world-wide, through the creation of Day Camps, Year-Round Programs and In-Hospital Recreational Activities, all offered free of charge.
Sunrise recently announced they will be opening this summer for in-person camping, along with a virtual option for those families who are more comfortable with or need distance-camping. While this is very exciting new, there are significant costs such as additional buses for social distancing, PPE equipment, additional staffing and cleaning personnel, etc., that are needed for them to re-open their in-person camps. This year, more than ever before, they need our help.
Please consider making a donation to support me and the hundreds of children and families the Sunrise Association serves.
Together, we will make a difference in the lives of children affected by pediatric cancer.
With gratitude, Jaime
