“Sunrise Day Camp…It’s the best camp”. As some of you know, I have spent the last ten summers working at Sunrise Day Camp, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings. This summer, I hope to be returning to Sunrise Day Camp. I am so excited to once again be participating SunriseWalks 2022 on Sunday, October 16, to benefit Sunrise Day Camp-Pearl River. SunriseWALKS is one of many ways the camp raises money throughout the year. Sunrise Day Camp gives children with cancer and their healthy siblings the opportunity to participate in a summer camp free of charge. Sunrise is truly a magical place for these children to enjoy a summer filled with fun, friendship, and activities I truly love sunrise and it is a special place that is dear to my heart. Each child at camp means the world to me. It is a joy to see their smiling faces and hearing the youngest of campers say that they want to come back on the first day. I am looking forward to be walking for SunriseWALKS and to spending another wonderful summer with these amazing kids who have taught me to appreciate all that life has to offer each and every day, to see the beauty in life, and to keep my head up. They are all my heroes and truly inspire me. It would mean a lot to me if you could join with me in participating and walking together for SunriseWALKS, on Sunday, October 16 in supporting this wonderful cause.
