Location: Camp Ramaquois
SunriseWALKS Pearl River 2021 was one of our most successful WALKS ever!
When the local community and businesses join together for a great cause, magical things really do happen.
More than 500 people—35 teams, 20+ sponsors, and camper staff, families, friends, and most importantly, our campers—came out to celebrate, and we raised over a quarter of a million dollars! These much-needed donations will help children like our Camper Ambassador Families: Sophia and Luka from Rockland County, and Sophia and Emily from Bergen County have another fun-filled summer at Sunrise! This upcoming summer will mark our 10th camp season in Pearl River and none of this would be possible without the continuing, year after year support of people like you, so we wanted to say thank you!
A huge shout-out to our wonderful presenting sponsor, Camp Group, and our generous hosts at
Camp Ramaquois for creating a beautiful course around their campgrounds! Including stops along the lake featuring many of our favorite themes and activities at camp—Color War, Prom, Olympics, plus a few new themes, such as the winter wonderland and the fall pumpkin patch! These scenes were ideal for family photos along the route! A crew from the East Ramapo Marching Band helped lead the walk in style and also greeted everyone back at the finish line. With the help of our wonderful volunteers, all attendees received a delicious bagged breakfast upon arrival (all food and drinks donated by sponsors), drawstring bags with additional goodies, mini pumpkins and treats at our finish line (the black and white cookies were a big hit!).
A huge Sunrise thank you to EVERYONE for the part you played in helping us fulfill our mission to bring the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings. The incredible generosity of our supporters and donors will impact our families for many summers to come.
