As many of you know, I have spent the last 7 (and now 8) summers working at Sunrise Day Camp. What started as just a way to spend a summer quickly became so much more, and as much as Sunrise has given to the campers and families it serves, it has given me exponentially more. It has changed my life for the better and has played a huge role in shaping me into the person I am today. And beneath all of the face paint, costumes, and spirit is simply a genuine desire to give these children the summer they deserve and the childhood that they might have missed.
This cause is very dear to me, and I'll appreciate all the support I can get! This year has been extremely difficult for so many, and especially for children already immuno-compromised who relied on camp for the chance to interact with other children. Together we can help bring the magic of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings. Please consider joining me in the SunriseWALKS-Long Island Campaign by making a donation below. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children with cancer!
