I am raising money for Sunrise Walks in honor of my 15 year old cousin Danielle. In March of 2017 my family received the news that she had been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. This is the most commonly seen form of childhood cancer. Dani has put up the fight of her life and has left everyone around her in complete awe of her strength. Her battle has been terrifying, to say the least, at times to watch… but this girl takes everything her illness has thrown at her, never pitying her situation and how her life has forever changed. I have worked for Sunrise Day Camp for both summers it has been on Staten Island. We are still a small camp and have lots of needs for supplies, activities, etc. This special summer camp sends each camper, whether they’ve received cancer treatment or are in remission, free of charge, as well as any siblings, and any needed transportation is provided. These amazing kids deserve to have the best camp experience possible and any donations will make a bigger impact than you may realize. I am so excited to walk with Sunrise on June 3rd and be a voice for Danielle and all of my Sunrise kids who have made a permanent imprint on my heart.
